To imagine the shrone worlds of 40k is almost impossible. With this split, that is less the case. I do like it when the best of two worlds come together to make something so obviously founded in a place of knowladge and need to do a setting justice. If they ever do a 40k series, this is the lisence for argument that Sereghost and Haudh should be in charge of the anthems of a future where there is only war.
Favorite track: Heresy at Angelus Prime.
"An Oath of Blood" is an interpretative recounting of the War for Sanctoria, as told in the Warhammer 40k supplement, "Blood Oath". It is the telling of the assault on the Shrine world, Sanctoria, and the capital city, Angelus Prime, with Haudh representing the forces of Chaos led by the Dread Lord Kharax, and Seregost telling the side of the Ultramarines of the Imperium, led by Marneus Calgar.
Haudh weaves mystical diablerie, and oscillations of blasphemies, a rumination of desecration and conquest; Seregost strides forth boldly onto the battlefield, with an impetus of righteous fury, and hymns of warfare upon his lips, with carnage and ruin festooning the bloodstained orchestra.

AFTERWORD FROM HAUDH:
The passion and energy that Seregost puts into not just the “Hans Zimmer” like horns and epic choruses, but the entire process from thought to form is inspiring. All that momentum! He truly makes it look effortless! It has been an absolute honor to have worked with Seregost. It has also been an absolute blast as well. From piecing together the War for Sanctoria and talking Warhammer 40K to talking vinyl and Sega. The guy is an amazing musician and friend. I cannot wait to work with him again.
AFTERWORD FROM SEREGOST:
I forget the actual impetus when this project idea came to be, but I believe it all started with Haudh mentioning an interest in doing a Warhammer 40k split, I reached out, and we began tossing ideas back and forth. You know the absolute pleasure it is to meet a new friend? We had just such a pleasure. Apparently, we had similar upbringings: video games, movies, comics - you know, the whole 90s kid thing. Do you also know how great it is to have friends who continually encourage your passions and art? That is also Haudh. We mulled ideas, and once the story launching point was established, we started composing. From the beginning, I set out to make “traditional dungeon synth” songs , a more “grounded” release, if you will, tempering my natural inclinations for the more “bombastic, epic score” elements, however, in an almost comical fashion, Haudh constantly encouraged me to do more, to “go for it”, or to “do it” when I would ask jokingly if I should add a “Braaam” to a song; or maybe I could “layer gunshots with my percussion” to which he would only add more encouragement. This is a collaboration of art and artist with zero care or concern for restrictive conventions, and I cannot thank Haudh enough for encouraging my creativity and letting me run with it. WH40k always gets me in an “epic” mood, anyway.
Many artists require minutes to weave an atmosphere with their music; stanzas and motif patterns that must build upon each in turn to present the aesthetic timbre of their piece - Haudh captures an atmosphere in seconds, and spends the remainder of his songs weaving your imagination to and fro. In this instance, he sets you up, then the second half of the album knocks you down! This is only the beginning, I can assure you. There will be more collaborative works from us, you can be certain of that.
